Clear terms.
Room to write.

This notice describes Scriptelier for Mac and its managed services as prepared for the first public release.

The first public release is in preparation. The following is the configured US launch offer. Purchases are not yet open on this website or through the unreleased app.

App license and Apple purchases

The app uses Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. Subscriptions and recharges are purchased through Apple, not this website. Apple displays the localized price and period before you confirm.

Writer Monthly and the trial

Writer Monthly costs $14.99 per month in the US and includes $8 in managed AI credit per verified paid period. It renews automatically through Apple. Eligible Apple accounts can start a one-week free trial with $6 in managed AI credit, then automatically enroll in the paid monthly term unless canceled under Apple’s displayed terms. Apple determines eligibility and period boundaries. Creating a Scriptelier account alone does not begin a trial.

Recharge packages

The initial US recharges cost $4.99 for $2.50 in AI credit, or $9.99 for $5 in AI credit. Apple’s confirmation governs the retail price. Credit is an allowance for metered AI use, not withdrawable cash. Purchased credits do not expire and remain available after ordinary subscription cancellation. Trial or promotional credit can expire as disclosed. Existing grants keep their terms when future allowances change.

How usage is charged

AI charges use provider-reported consumption and the server’s published rates and markup policy. Initial usage markup is 0%. A request reserves a maximum amount, then settles to actual use. The app shows charges, reservations and your balance. Unusable output is not charged to you; uncertain outcomes stay pending until reconciled. Retail package prices are separate from metered charges and fund Apple commissions, infrastructure and trial allowances.

Availability

Managed AI requires macOS 27 and App Attest support on the installation. Service pauses, rate limits and provider spending limits can temporarily prevent requests even when credit remains. The app checks availability before starting a new purchase. Local writing remains available on macOS 14 or later. On-device and personally configured AI providers have separate requirements.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancel with Apple to stop future renewal. Cancellation preserves the current verified paid term and remaining purchased credit. Apple decides App Store refunds through Report a Problem. An approved refund can revoke remaining credit associated with the refunded purchase. These terms do not override Apple’s process or applicable consumer rights.

Your writing and source material

You are responsible for having the necessary rights or permissions for material you import or submit to an AI provider. Review AI suggestions for accuracy and suitability before using them. Scriptelier does not offer shared subscriptions, family credit pools or project budget enforcement in this initial release.

Public support contact details will be available before the app launches. For now, the guides below cover the current release preparation.
